  1. Empire with Darthmod makes it playable. I am still waiting for a more a more refined revisit to that time period.

  2. Warhammer is also S tier because it is the better half of mortal.

  3. Empire total war at D tier because of horrible battle AI, but enjoyable naval combat.

Troy at C with battles you can't make yourself play at all. hmmm

  4. Shogun 2 was my first introduction into the total war franchise and it blew my mind. Getting introduced into the total war gamestyle coming from stratgey game like civ or stellaris gave me everything I wanted in my strategy games. Turn-based campaign with RTS battles. Shogun 2 is amazing. Thinking about it now, the combat was very rock-paper-scissors to the extent that yari peasants hard countered ANY cav in the game, elite or cheap it didnt matter it hard countered it. yari pesents then got hard countered by swords and so on. Campaign wise it was interesting but the factions themselves really didnt play differently. All that changed was the starting location which made the early game varied but mid/late game was the same. Fall of the Samurai played differently enough to be its own game which astounded me and brought in the gunpowder/line battles that I loved so much about empire. Mixing those two made a great combination that helped fix the rock-paper-scissors style of gameplay because yoloing your elite units into low tier gunpowder units would get them killed. In shogun 2 that was a viable strat but in FotS you had to think a little harder.

  6. I do remember several people I knew disliking the campaign changes between the original Medieval and Rome

Crazy to think of now, but I would like a remaster/remake of the original Medieval with those mechanics, just something so nice about the simplicity of it being like chess

  7. med2 TW is definitly up there into S tier but for the rest good playlist for me

  8. I disagree completely on Empire: Total War. It's been one of my favorites for years.

  9. Empire with Darth Mod is a very fun TW game

  10. TW 3K is legit great and was awesome with the newest updates they added real complex mechanics and isnt just a stupid generic tw game but they ruined the optimization and didnt even give us what they promised

  11. Balance issues aside, the Atilla campaign is engaging because it's SO hard, but you can make such a difference on the battlefield. It really adds a lot of excitement to the battles as each one can really turn the tide. The Mongol stack spam does make Eastern factions almost unbearably difficult, though.

  12. Shogun total war should be S tier imho, there was no game like that when it was realeased and it created a genre of his own just like diablo did so just for that, it deserves the S tier rank.

  13. I do agree that on launch Empire was a complete mess. However they were able to fix a lot of the bugs over time and by the launch of Napolean I really came to enjoy Empire.

  14. Rome 2 was so bad that I have never gone back to play it since the launch month. Also not a fan of the Total War set in China.

  15. shogun total war 1 deserves atleast a C for how it is now just for the assassination videos, I mean it actually does offer something the other games do not have and are fun and often funny to watch

One more part where i agree to disagree, warhammer 1 was minimum A tier at launch but probably S. It was the first game in the series that used mythical units and legendary heroes with a level of custumization of those heroes unseen before with amazing graphics and magical effects, sure it had some buggyness such as sieges (though i never really experienced much of that) and like only 5 factions I think at launch THOUGH each factions was massively different than the other ones unlike other previous total war entries where even the factions that where different from one another where still more similar than greenskins to vampire counts where……It seems like while your placing total war 1 at tier C for at launch alot of your criticisms are that of you comparing it to today total war 2, shouldnt that be for the how is it now section? for real, no game changed the series as much as warhammer 1 has and it completely re-invigorated the series for alot of people AND brought in the most new players than any other recent title, probably comparable to rome 1, most I know didnt even miss a beat between 1 and 2 and essentially just see them as the same game with a really long development period and an expensive expansion pack

  16. If you have TK at tier A, why not do a let's play? I really would like to see your LP of that title.

  17. Troy is worse than Shogun2 and Medivial 2 😄
    You sir are nuts

  18. The new update for Rome Remastered is insane. It has potential to be the GOAT.

  19. Legend: Rome could destroy my bloody life for no go to school.
All total war fans born in the 90's: BASED

  20. I agree Three Kingdoms had S tier potential, they really shit the bed with the DLCs and cutting it off completely. And that video they made about how "we feel we've told our story" was really condescending to the fans… Obviously the market is there and they will revisit it at some point, just hoping the DLC I purchased for 3K carries over some value into the next titles similar to the Warhammer franchise.

  21. Hello, do you know what is going to be the next total war game ?

  22. You put Warhammer over Shogun 2, then proceeded to put Three Kindoms on the same tier? You got a chronic shit take, man.

  23. did shogun and medieval really that bad in modern os? i plan to buy both of them on steam because i never played both of them and i want to try it

  24. Ah yes, the most controversial total war player.

  25. Shogun 2 got me into total war. Godly game and one of my all time favorite games

  26. Bro chariots where nerfed like 10 months ago …

  27. this man actually made a "positive statement…. NOT" joke in 2021, what a fucking legend… NOT !
    haha lmao fucking gottem

  28. Got addicted to Rome total war and medieval 2 at the age of 7💀💀. I just remember that if I had 2 units legionary cohort at least in a city I could repel a Greek siege force of over 700 troops. However my favourite version of total war is DaC for medieval 2

  29. What about Medieval 2: Kingdoms? I loved all the mini campaigns in that one.

  30. Fun Fact: Rome Total War was used in a british TV show

  31. I loved 3 kingdoms so much. But when the developers abandoned it, i just lost any drive to play it anymore, and im not sure why

  32. How can you betray a franchise like total war cause of 1 game you didn’t like while you said you really liked the others (especially Rome)
In that situation after empire I would have craved for the new total war in hope of something better.

I did like Napoleon total war, empire is one of the few I did not play

  33. So basically Total War Warhammer 2 is The best total war.

  34. I have my Shogun and Medieval on CD ROM. They were among the best games I've ever played. I agree, however, it's just not something you can just jump back into and expect the same type of experience. It's not performance, I just expect a little more now.

  35. Warhammer being S tier shows how far gone Total War has become imo. But I respect Legends reasoning. He obviously enjoys the game.

  36. It was such a shame that Three Kingdoms didn't go well.

  37. For Rome Remastered they have to address the mouse issues.. I cant even play it because the mouse clicks just stop working randomly..

  38. thrones of britannia for me is one the best, true it lacks a lot of things rome 2 has but it is still a very good game

  39. I always thought Barbarian Invasion with Alexander was on the same level as Troy, Britannia, Attila, Fall of Samurai, and Napoleon as a true expansion.

  40. I prefer historical titles vs the magical stuff.
