  1. And russia would be paid back in kind, they would be fighting nato in this scenaro.

  2. Russia could do it but The UK Has friends

  3. Remember they have to Go around Norway. Iceland would Send help too and Even now Swindon And Finland if it doesnt take too long to join NATO & help . Plus the US have Forces with us.

  4. The US has a Air Base in Scotland that could get there in Time!.. We really do need to pimp up our Defence but Norway and Iceland would send too.

  5. The Navy will be far too busy sorting out how to use pronouns and ensure equity for the gender list so they will be out for quite a while.

  6. Brits better do more on the home front, that was an ass kicking…

  7. Why would Russia fire missiles at the UK. This is about NATO wanting to let Ukraine join them which will allow NATO to put missiles on Russias front door there not going to put up with that an I don't blame them. We almost went to war with Russia when they tried to put missiles in Cuba we weren't going to allow that an Russia isn't going to stand for it either. Like to know the statise on all the gain of function research labs we have in Ukraine dont know why we have them there an if there hit with an explosion is there gonna be another Fauci pandemic no body ever talks about that

  8. Remember that your information is only what's available to the public

  9. The question seems one sided! If he did that, could he survive NATO response? It is not like there will be no response unless you live in Putin bubble

  10. In convectional conflict NATO would wipe the floor with Russia, Finland on its own would kick Russia's @ss

  11. England wouldent have a chance like the countrys they invaded with America for resources when they bombed Germany civilians killing hundreds thousands along with America truth is all criminals colonels what goes around comes around 😱

  12. I might have missed it but what about the the Land Ceptor at Baker Barracks east of Portmouth? 16th Artillery have the only one in service i believe and its a huge improvement on the rapier.

  13. Since Cap seemingly was a little forgetful,
here the yt-link to the mentioned Mark Felton video 😋
    watch?v=WNRUP-T01Ig&ab_channel=MarkFeltonProductions

  14. As always these sites do not check facts. The radar station on Portsdown hill overlooking Portsmouth can pick up a plane taking off from USA. So I'm pretty sure they can pick up anything else heading this way.

  15. There is no defence against a mass cruise missile attack except maybe the odd lucky shot from a jet or the ground.
Royal Navy Merlins have AEW which can track cruise missiles but nothing to shoot at them with.

  16. We have Sky Sabre now that will protect us 👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

  17. Entertaining video, but completely unrealistic in the real world.
Our new Sky Sabre is now fully operational, more than cable along side typhoons and type 45's to defend this.
We would be alarted long before they even reached us to take the Russian aircraft out, and other European nations that the Russians would need to pass would join in before even getting close to UK. RUSSIA are short on pilots and probably could not operate that many at one time in this scenario

  18. I think the makers of this video showed great disrespect in personalising the hypothetical attack with a head of state.

  19. Wow, I'm surprised how ill equipped the UK is against a Russian attack.

  20. Is any other Brit who's not from the South East team "Cruise Missile"?

  21. US military intel came to the concluding that about 7 out of 10 Russian ballistic and other missiles fail either at launch, in flight, fail to reach their target, miss, or don’t explode. So if all missiles were successful then yes. But realistically they are very unreliable. (remember seeing russian missiles stuck in the ground in random fields in Ukraine? Those were failed missiles AND the random fields were definitely not their targets) so i don’t see any russian missile strike on UK being successful considering they haven’t subdued Ukraine with missiles yet. And Uk is far better defended than Ukraine.

  22. I was at an RAF air cadet camp in RAF coningsby about a week ago, the best week ever

  23. Soooo, the mass of American planes, missiles, etc, based in the UK would just sit there and do nothing? An attack on the UK poses as much risk to their forces. They'd scramble everything they have too.

  24. I doubt Russia is able to spend a lot of nukes and cruise missiles SIMULTANEOUSLY to defend itself from overwhelming retaliation from Britain and its allies. The subs cant hide when literally everybody is searching and hunting subs.

  25. "Already you can see the problem in $COUNTRY'S defense, we just have nothing to defend with. Compare this to the US, it's so different.
–Literally every other country other than the US

  26. I actually think, even without AEW and limited EWR that Britain would be able to get Typhoons out and intercept the raid. First of all, in a period of heightened tensions, the RAF and RN (not to mention all of NATO) would be at a higher alert state. This would mean that the Queen Elizabeth would CERTAINLY not be tied up alongside and, even if she was, her F-35Bs would have been involved in the defense. This would also mean that, from just the American side, additional aircraft would be staged in the UK… including E-3 Sentries. Also, probably, NATO Aircraft, again potentially E-3 Sentries, could be staged at the former Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland (Since, although it is no longer and active USN facility and run by the Icelandic coast guard, they regularly host NATO aircraft for exercises). Either of these would give raid warning. Certainly, the USAF would not just sit idly by while Russian bombers launched missiles at the UK, thus, not only would the UK have raid warning from radar (and probably other, maybe submarine) assets but there would be more aircraft in an alert state to intercept the Russian bombers as well as missiles… just sayin.

  27. If the cruise missiles are ground hugging terrain curvature why would you climb so high?

  28. My thoughts are these:

If Putin, in desperation, launched this kind of strike, and also decided to fly over Europe, more than likely, he would probably have at least 2 Russian AWACS as mobile sensors and vectoring, working in conjunction with the 4 flyable Su-57s Russia has. These would serve the same role as an F-14 Tomcat in the US Navy, being the long-distance "eyes" of the main strike package, similar to how the F-14 protected the carrier group at almost 300 NM out during the 1980s and 1990s. Also included in the Russian strike package would be the MiG-31s, with their long-range radars, and lastly probably at least 2 squadrons of SU-35S escort fighters.

The SU-35S fighters would have the job of actually dealing with the F-35 variants currently in service with various EU countries, as well as the Typhoon, Eurofighter, Mirage, and Rafale fighters that various EU countries would send to deal with this strike force, along with possibly US airframes like the F-18, F-16, F-22, and F-35C. (Note: The F-35C, to my knowledge, is a US-only F-35 variant.)

Could this kind of strike be successful, if flown across Europe? Hard to say, but given it would fly across Poland, Germany, and France, before heading towards England, I would think that it would be interdicted successfully if the Russian jets run out of ammo dealing with the various interceptors that would be sent up to harass the Russian strike force. Any more, it's not about manueverability, it's about fuel and ammo. So, given this, if the Russians are forced to defend as they probably would be, I put the probability of a successful strike, just getting there, at less than 15%. More than likely, the incursion of such a strike would set off another European world war, which, given Putin's leadership in Ukraine, is becoming increasingly unstable. Add in the recent death of the Russian energy executive, who probably was taken out because he was done feeding fuel to Putin's war machine in Ukraine, along with the leadership core deficit in general, and I think that something like this scenario is a much more unlikely long shot to actually succeed.

However, the other question is, if everything went right with getting within range of London and the UK in general, given Britain's defenses, how effective could this strike be? If the radar system in this scenario is effective, then I think it could vector in the 25 fighters at the southern airbase, and kill off the missiles as they come in. Would any get through? Hard to say. I want the Brits to win, but it's a tough call. I think applying the lessons learned from the Second World War, during the Battle of Britain, is what would need to happen in this scenario: Vector in as many fighters as possible, in precision groups, to deal with the missiles as they come in. Using the radar from the Royal Navy, and possible missile defenses of the ships might help, but that's a long shot as well. I think Cap is right: This scenario comes down to the brave pilots of the RAF, and then making good kill shots on the incoming missiles. Otherwise, Britain suffers a few tactical nuclear strikes on its home soil. I also don't think that the Russian propaganda is correct, as I think Britain would have the grim resolve of the Second World War, and it would fight back with everything it could muster.

  29. I thought we had 4 naval bases? Portsmouth, devonport, Plymouth and faslane?

  30. This was really cool to see! Out of interest, with F35 being upgraded to also carry Meteor could we maybe also have the 24 x F35's taking off from QE in Pompy as well as the 25 x Typhoons scrambling from Conningsby? Also we'd possibly have a Type45 in Portsmouth/The Channel with it for a bit of extra Sea Sceptre. I'm by no means an expert but maybe that would add to the defence scenario 🙂

  31. I sincerely hope that the situation has changed in the 5 months since this video was released 🤞😕

  32. You ignore all the British submarines.
    You ignore Star-streak missiles.
    You ignore all the frigates.
The destroyers are all based in Portsmouth. 2 will not be up North.
We share intelligence with NATO. Any planes taking off from Russia will be tracked. By other Nato countries and info given to Britain.
Russian Bombers are shadowed by Typhoons before they get anywhere near Britain.
There are videos of this all over youtube.

  33. Please tell me you bunch of dribblers don't think this is in any way realistic. Or that you know the 1st thing about British defences. You absolute cock!

  34. Geeezus do us ANZAC's need to come save you Brits again.. Try it again but this time Include 8 of your Type 23 frigates with their CAMM Sea Ceptor missiles plus 4 Type 45.. This time spread your Type 23 frigates out closer to the Russian missile targets, Sea Ceptors are limited range but they still can defend closer to targets plus bring the additional CIWS.. I would leave 4 in Ports and once you know the missiles are coming the frigate radars go on, also keep the navy ships closer to England.. It is your job as pilots to intercept the missiles 1st and use all your missiles before the russian missiles get within navy ships radar and missile ranges.. Basically use your Type 23 frigates as goalies between the missiles and targets and put 2 Type 23 frigates on each target to defend it.. You also have your Land Ceptor by the British Army and the whole land-based air defence system is known as Sky Sabre..

  35. Well we are all fuck't then aren't we,ha,ha,ha say good bye…..

  36. We will go down fighting as irradiated corpses.
