I doubt they would be cheering like excited children. More likely they would be worried and thinking ‘is this fake and a real attack could be coming’, and/or ‘who the hell is pranking us with nuclear annihilation?’
This reminds me of a funny story of me and my collision repair buddies at tech school (trade) our classroom was in a shade near the shop and the school like a couple of yards we are next to welding, horticulture & construction. So to get announcement we hear the radio well this one day we were talking and planning and the radio came on and said "Fire drill is over y'all can come back in" and we where all like 😐 "did we just died" lmfao
lol impact lol every single nuke is an airburst or it wont create a pressure bubble to knocked everything over, a ground burst in fact dampens the effectiveness of the bomb big time.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 Jesus, who was God in the flesh of a man, died for the remission of sin, including yours, was buried, and rose form the dead 3 days later. If you simply believe this applies to you and trust Jesus to save you, then you have everlasting life in heaven. John, 6:47 "verily, verily I say unto you, he that believes in me has everlasting life."-Jesus
0:23: I love the way he starts like a structured military communication, then he pauses and is like "to hell with it, we might all be about to die, so here it is in plain English"
This movie had it completely wrong, no computer is in control of weapons. I served with SAC for 5 years, we did have a few scares but we never launched our B-52's with weapons on board!
This is a great scene because the actors really sell that they BELIEVED that nukes were on the way and then 100% stress relief when the attack is fake.
I saw this in 84 at boy's breagade camp happy day's. Lol. Wen he goes No impact we're alive and well I shouts out Praise God with my fist in the air. Still makes me emotional after all these years. But here we are again talking about nuclear war as if nothing has been learned. Sad. But still a amazing film.
This nearly happened in 1983. The Soviets thought there were inbound missiles coming from America. A submarine commander was ordered to launch his in retaliation. He refused and resolved to wait for half an hour. Turns out it was an anomaly caused by solar activity. Why do we have these damned things?
In real life the guy holding his thumb over the launch button would probably have sneezed pushed the button
Most hair-rising moment in the history of film making.

Soviet invasion confirmed! General Carville.
To think this happened in real life, but from the Soviets thinking we had attacked them. Thank you, USSR.
VECTREX !!!
Canada: wait did we died?

They sure let a lot of cities get destroyed before asking if they were still there.
This was a good movie.
Damn, general Carville was so young and innocent back there
Original choice to play Professor Falken: John Lennon.
Thanks a lot, Chapman.
Lady's voice for countdown is wonderful 😍
This has actually happened, several times NORAD almost fired due to false information.

That black girl doing the countdown was mega hot.
Imagine if he accidentally pushed the launch button.

0:09 – This guy sounds so much like Captain Kirk to me that I googled whether Shatner guest starred here.
"Impack"?
Norad isnt equipped to take a direct hit with certan yield thermonuclear warhead.

Falscher alarm
Such a great movie of it s time.
2400 inbound nukes and the Senior Controller decides to go have a cigarette break.
With what’s happening now with Ukrainian and Russia this is more relevant than ever before
It's a deadlock of a paradox how much money and effort has gone into something that people never want to use.
October 2019:
COVID-19™️ gets released on the world. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Country need have to create fake launch projects, so enemy country will feel scared and surrender.
Don't just reading books, you must create the books
looks like the bunker at the end of Terminator 3

Its a PERFECT time to make a remake. 2022

Like most I grew up with these films. War games the day after, threads, when the wind blows.
What do you think of the command,
"Make a hole!"=71 Babylon=71.
Im sorry, but sitting there watching my country being deleted I would not be so Stoic…
誰も死なない戦争映画「ウォーゲーム」、今観ると泣けてくる。

Week 9 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine; You just watched a news story, the algorithm suggests this 1983 simulation of the end of the world, enjoy.

Crystal palace – are you still there?
Aston villa – yes, were still here.
the russians back then were far more sane than the current crew running the show

He nearly pressed the launch button by accident! For the love of God! Keep your finger away from the button!
